We are thrilled to share Appleby’s plans for Heritage Open Weekend 2026!
We will be taking part in the festival on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. Admission is free to all venues and activities.
Leaflets are avaliable to collect from Appleby Tourist Information Centre. There is so much going on we couldn’t fit everything on one poster!
We are kicking off with a musical evening on Friday 18th, hosted by Bill Lloyd with his ‘Music of the Borders’, followed by an open mic session.
On Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, many properties that are usually closed to the public will be opening their doors for free viewing and tours. Saturday is particularly busy, with a special exhibition being held in the Public Hall by our local historical societies and Appleby Archaeology.
