Appleby manor Hotel

Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa is a 4 Star Spa Hotel. We have two dining options – Fine Dining Restaurant which has a smart-casual dress code and has two red rosettes from the AA as well as Bistro 1871 which is a more relaxed and informal style of dining.

Our Fine Dining Restaurant is open from 7pm (last orders at 8:45pm). The bistro is open 12-2pm and from 6:30pm (last orders at 8:45pm). Both restaurants open everyday.

Bojangles

A modern café bistro offering a range of meals including English breakfasts, homemade steak pies, burgers, wraps, vegetarian dishes, sandwiches and homemade soups. We offer gorgeous homemade cakes and traybakes every day, and serve alcohol. We provide outside catering in private or holiday homes and Bojangles is available for private parties.

Opening times are 9am-3.30pm Mon-Sat and Sundays 10am-4pm.

CROWN & CUSHION WITH APPLEBY TEA ROOM

The Crown and Cushion offers superb quality and home cooked food daily from 8am – 8:30pm with traditional roast dinners available every Sunday. Visitors are welcome to bring Dogs and muddy boots and takeaways are also on offer. You can catch Sky and TNT Sports in the pub, while the covered beer garden at the rear provides a pleasant outdoor spot whatever the weather. Within the Crown and Cushion you’ll find a charming tea-room, serving premier loose leaf tea and a full range of freshly ground coffee (including decaf), homemade scones, cakes, tray bakes, main meals, and all day breakfast are available. For accommodation there are great en-suite rooms starting at £75 per night as well as cottages and apartments around the town from 95 per night, ensuring comfortable stays for every visitor.

aPPLEBY gOLF cLUB

Set in a stunning location with spectacular view 360-degree views across the Eden valley. Appleby Golf Club offers a welcoming and relaxed environment for golfers and visitors alike. Our clubhouse serves fabulous home-cooked food, with a daily specials menu alongside our regular menu, all at very reasonable prices.

We are open to everyone, not just golfers, and pride ourselves on providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Join us for breakfast from 10am or enjoy lunch and main meals served throughout the day.

TASTE OF EDEN

We offer a tempting variety of homemade drinks, cakes, sandwiches, soup, baguettes and paninis. Our menu offers a breakfast selection and hot and cold options served all day. Takeaway menu available. Daily specials, dogs welcome. Opening times: 8:30 – 3:00ish.

Tufton Arms Hotel

Elegant conservatory restaurant with daily specials. Regularly changing menu ranging from simple grills to award-winning cuisine prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients; complemented by 200 bin wine list. Traditional Sunday lunches of locally sourced sirloin beef carved from our Victorian carving trolley.

Food served 12-2pm and 6:30-9pm in our cosy public bar with log fires and real ale and wine by the glass.

The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak brings passion to create a home-from-home experience with a focus on serving superb food and quality drinks in the warm welcoming atmosphere that you can expect from a country pub.  The popular TAPS (Totally About People Socialising) Room, restaurant or cosy lounge with open fire, ensure an added experience to your stay. A chance to unwind and to meet the friendly locals. Our 60-seater restaurant and function room is dedicated to providing outstanding cuisine using local and seasonal produce and enjoys a deserved reputation for quality and service. Children and Dogs are especially welcome guests.

THE KINGS ARMS, TEMPLE SOWERBY

The pub is one of the best places to dine in the area offering fresh high quality food in a relaxed and unpretentious setting. We are open every day for breakfast lunch and dinner. Food is served from 8am until 9pm.

Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible and everything is prepared and cooked on-site. You’ll find many of your traditional favourites on there alongside some of chef’s delicious seasonal dishes too! Whether it’s date night, Sunday lunch or a midnight treat we’ve got a delicious option for you. Children’s menu, Sunday roasts vegan and gluten free options available. Our friendly team awaits you in the freshly renovated bar, lounge, and games room. We are open for breakfast, coffee, tea, cakes and pastries lunch and dinner from 8am-11pm in the Spring Summer and Autumn. The New Inn at Hoff is a cosy 17th century inn with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our lunches and afternoon light bites are popular with walkers and those visiting the area. A menu of wholesome home cooked meals is available in the evenings and Carolyn’s generous Sunday lunches are popular with locals and visitors alike. It is a cosy pub and you are welcome to enjoy one of our cask ales around the log burner in winter or enjoy the sunshine at one of our tables outside in the summer.  You can leave your muddy boots at the door and we’ll even stoke up the fire if you need to dry out!  We recommend that you make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment, particularly if you are part of a group or large party.  We look forward to welcoming you to The New Inn at Hoff.
