Located about 3 miles south from Appleby, Wild Rose is an established caravan park with 5 star awards from Visit Britain, the AA and Loo of the Year, also with a David Bellamy conservation Gold award. A varied range of accommodation from Glamping pods to hives, hot tub lodges and with seasonal touring pitches available with electric for caravans and motor homes. There are 45 Static Caravans available, a great way to camp in style. Facilities on park include 3 heated toilet and shower blocks, restaurant and bar with take away and seasonal shop. Croft Ends is family run and is situated on a working farm approximately 1.5 miles north of Appleby, with panoramic views over the Pennines and Lakeland Fells. Open all year round.
Our 5 super pitches are set in 3/4 acre of lawned paddock and fully serviced with 16a supply, on hard standing. We provide a washroom with wash basin (Hot and Cold) and W.C., a cycle shed, information room, chemical point and recycling facilities. Croft Ends has an additional 5 pitches available to any Caravans or Motorhomes. The pitches are to the same very high standard as the Certified Location. Each site covers 0.75 acres. Well-behaved children are welcome on the site at no extra charge. Dogs, also welcome, must be kept on a lead.
There are many footpaths nearby, offering walkers the opportunity to explore the local countryside and villages. A path from Dufton leads to the U.K.’s largest glacial valley, High Cup Nick. The walk involves a section of the Pennine Way, which offers the opportunity to enjoy spectacular views over the Eden Valley and beyond. The town of Appleby, approximately 1.5 miles from the site, offers a wide variety of local shops, a castle, a riverside walk, local sports facilities including golf, cricket, swimming pool and bowling green, plus a wide range of restaurants and public houses.

Dogs welcome. Masons Arms Pub in village for evening meals and Sunday Lunches. Walkers , cyclists and bikers welcome. A perfect base for exploring Appleby’s historic market town, in the beautiful Eden Valley, the Pennines and the Lake District.
Alanholme is just off the A66 and so great for breaking a journey to/from Scotland for a convenient stay. And now with Camping Pods The fully insulated pod can sleep up to 4 & consists of: 2 bedrooms (left empty for you to bring your own camp bed/airbed), kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc, sofa bed, electric heating. Minimum stay 2 nights. Other items supplied: tin opener, small sharp knife, bottle opener, cheese grater, chopping board, cafetiere, tea pot, salt & pepper pots, tea, coffee, sugar, small pedal bin, bin liners. All you need to bring with you is your bed, bedding, food and drink!

One Static caravan, which sleeps 4 people maximum, with one double and one twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower sink and toilet. Fully fitted kitchen with microwave cooker and fridge. Lounge and dining area. Electric heating. Can accommodate one dog by arrangement. Limited phone signal, but can be gained by a short walk.

Open March – October and can facilitate campers in winter upon prior arrangement. Sit back and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the campsite and caravan park with plenty of local wildlife and wonderful views.
A designated grassed area caters for all campers with room for 1/2 man tents. We have an overflow field for Family Tents and Groups that looks up to Dufton pike, solar toilet in the field but just a short walk to the shower block on the site. The camping area includes the supply of a free electric hook up and water. A total of 15 static caravans (privately owned) are set in a quiet and secluded area of the park.
Set on the Pennine Way there are many walks from the park. Gentle walks include the exploration of Dufton Ghyll and walks around the village. For the more energetic there is Dufton Pike and the breathtaking High Cup Nick. Ideally located for those who enjoy walking and cycling, and only 20 minutes from the Lake District National Park and Ullswater.
