Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa is a 4 Star Spa Hotel. We have two dining options – Fine Dining Restaurant which has a smart-casual dress code and has two red rosettes from the AA as well as Bistro 1871 which is a more relaxed and informal style of dining. Our Fine Dining Restaurant is open from 7pm (last orders at 8:45pm). The bistro is open 12-2pm and from 6:30pm (last orders at 8:45pm). Both restaurants open everyday. The hotel is closed 21st-27th December.

The Midland Hotel

Appleby Golf Club
The well appointed clubhouse includes a dining room, bar, TV lounge, snooker room and terrace. The Gold Pearson Lounge overlooks the 18th green and is renowned for the superb views of The Lake District and The Howgill Fells. The clubhouse is open all day to serve snacks, meals and drinks. Open Mon 10am-3pm (limited catering), Tues-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat/Sun 8am-5pm. Sunday carvery is served 12-3pm as well as the usual menu. We are open to members and non members. You will be given a warm welcome by Mick, our steward. The clubhouse is also available to hire for special occasions, weddings, birthday parties and private functions. A long established cafe/cake shop refurbished after the 2015 floods. We offer a tempting variety of homemade drinks, cakes, pastries and desserts. The Royal Oak

The Three Greyhounds Inn
A small country pub in the beautiful village of Great Asby where we specialise in home cooked food from locally sourced ingredients. Handmade chips and pizza bases as well as a great selection of pies, lasagne, burgers and a constantly changing ‘Specials Board’ available. Fish and chips are a strong favourite, eaten in and taken out. Large parties can be catered for as long as advanced notice is given. Food served from 6pm Wed-Sat with lunchtime soup, sandwiches and toasties served 12-2pm but the bar is open 11am-3pm for drinks. Please contact the pub regarding Sunday roasts. There is two ever changing cask ales, regular beers, lagers, ciders and spirits. There is usually ten gins on our shelf but also a good selection of soft drinks and hot beverages. The ‘Fun Quiz’ is popular each month and ticket only live music ‘Band on Sunday’ is a sell-out. There is a pool table, dart board, beer garden and outdoor seating available.
The Post Box Pantry

The New Inn
The New Inn at Hoff is a cosy 17th century inn with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our lunches and afternoon light bites are popular with walkers and those visiting the area. A menu of wholesome home cooked meals is available in the evenings and Carolyn’s generous Sunday lunches are popular with locals and visitors alike. It is a cosy pub and you are welcome to enjoy one of our cask ales around the log burner in winter or enjoy the sunshine at one of our tables outside in the summer. You can leave your muddy boots at the door and we’ll even stoke up the fire if you need to dry out! The Stag Inn
The Stag Inn, which stands in the heart of Dufton village overlooking the green, was built in 1703 as an inn with solid oak beams. The present owners still uphold the centuries-old tradition of friendly hospitality and good beer. This is a classic country pub – and very ‘walker friendly’ – with a large cast-iron range warming the main bar, an open fireplace in the smaller lounge and a comfortable dining room to the rear, serving a wide choice of meals.
