Barrowgarth is a period guest house set in the beautiful and ancient market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. We are located conveniently within a two minute walk of the town centre with off street parking and/or secure cycle storage. We aim to provide relaxing quality accommodation for visitors to the area who seek a little more value from their B&B. Each of our four rooms have daily housekeeping, en-suite facilities, a spacious shower, a mini-fridge, tea and coffee refreshments, a hairdryer, and a 32″ TV. All rooms have a luxury, king-sized bed, or two single beds, if booked as a twin. Family run B&B conveniently within walking distance of the centre of the attractive Eden Valley town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. GEORGE & DRAGON CLIFTON
The George and Dragon is an award winning foodie country Inn with eleven bedrooms. We grow and rear much of our produce at Askham Hall nearby and whatever we don’t grow or rear ourselves at Askham Hall. We ensure, when possible, that the rest of the fresh, seasonal produce we use is sourced from local suppliers and farmers within about 20 miles of the pub. Having won multiple awards for it’s cuisine, accommodation and field to fork ethos, it has established itself as a regional dining destination. Friendly approachable staff, a fantastic wine list, real ales, 3 wood fires and a cosy, stylish atmosphere make it a place you’ll want to come back to time and time again.
